The Backwoods Adventure Mods Overland Bed Rack, Full Height, builds a tall mounting platform over the bed of a 2007–2027 Toyota Tundra short bed. It bolts to 3rd gen trucks directly, and 2nd gen trucks need the factory bed tracks. The rack sits level with the cab, ready for a rooftop tent, bikes, boats or recovery gear.

It's all aluminum and weighs about 65 lb, finished in black powder coat. C-channel crossbars stiffen the top, and modular side panels carry lights, traction boards, awnings and up to two storage boxes per side. The optional DRIFTR topper adds 5 in of height and slotted crossbars, and with Backwoods Adventure Mods' DRIFTR roof rack it makes one flat deck from cab to tailgate.

Questions we get

Will it fit my bed length?The Tacoma and Tundra racks are built for short beds. On a Tundra long bed the rack fits but won't span the full bed.
Does my 2nd gen Tundra need anything extra?Yes. 2007–2021 Tundras need the factory bed tracks installed first; 3rd gen trucks bolt up directly.
What does the Gladiator need?OEM or aftermarket bed rails must be installed before the rack goes on.
Will a rooftop tent clear the cab?The rack sits about level with the cab. For a long wedge tent, add the DRIFTR topper for roughly 4–5 in more height.
Can I mount storage boxes?Yes. BAM's aluminum box mounts one per side on Tacoma and Gladiator, and up to two per side on the Tundra full height rack.
