The Aluminum Connector Skid Plate closes the gap between a Backwoods Adventure Mods front bumper and the skid plates on 2010–2024 Toyota 4Runner trucks. It ties the bottom of the bumper and winch mount to the factory skid frame mounts, guarding the front cooler lines that would otherwise hang exposed.

It's cut from 1/4 in aluminum with a black powder coat and drain holes for airflow, mud and water. It fits trucks with or without KDSS and lines up with the RCI and CBI skid systems, giving a smooth run from bumper to belly armor.

The plate bolts to factory mounting points with included hardware, but only fits Backwoods 4Runner bumpers and does not work with the factory TRD skid. Warn winch owners get two bolts that sandwich plate, bumper and winch; other winches may need their own bolts. We ship it free within the contiguous U.S.

Questions we get

Does it work with the factory TRD skid?No. The 4Runner plate doesn't work with the factory TRD skid and the Tacoma plate doesn't fit the TRD Pro skid.

Will it fit another brand's bumper?No. It only bolts up to Backwoods front bumpers for the matching truck.

What about my winch?Backwoods includes two bolts that fit Warn winch mounts. Other winches may need their own bolts.

Does the 4Runner version work with KDSS?Yes, it fits with or without KDSS and works with RCI and CBI skid systems.

Which Tacomas does it fit?2005–2023 double cab and access cab 4x4 trucks, with an aftermarket engine skid.
