The Hi-Lite Overland Front Bumper with Prerunner Bull Bar gives the 2024–2027 Toyota Tacoma a more open front end than the full bull bar. A center hoop guards the grille, and the high-clearance cut of the corners stays out of the way on climbs.

Backwoods Adventure Mods builds it as a true hybrid: a 40 lb aluminum shell that can't rust, mounted over a 42 lb steel winch cradle whose recovery points tie directly into the frame. All in, it weighs 82 lb, and pulling the roughly 40 lb factory bumper means you add only about 45 lb to the nose. The cradle takes winches up to 12,000 lb, hand cutouts let you reach the clutch and watch the spool, and the wings take most aftermarket pod lights.

It's a one-person bolt-on that works with TSS and the parking sensors. Factory fog lights can't be reused, and winches over 10.1 in tall need the solenoid relocated. Black powder coat and Grade 8 hardware come with it, Backwoods Adventure Mods covers the structure with a lifetime warranty, and we ship it free within the contiguous U.S.

Questions we get

Will my winch fit? Most winches up to 12,000 lb drop right in. If yours is taller than 10.1 in (the WARN ZEON is 10.5 in), plan to relocate the solenoid or slightly modify the crossmember.
Does it work with Toyota Safety Sense?Yes. The Hi-Lite keeps the factory TSS sensor working, and on the 2024+ Tacoma it also keeps the parking sensors. 5th gen 4Runners with the forward-facing camera need BAM's TSS relocation bracket (not compatible with the prerunner).
Can I keep my factory fog lights? No, the factory fogs don't carry over. The wings have cutouts for most aftermarket pod lights instead.
How hard is the install? It's a bolt-on one person can handle, and BAM has an install video for each generation. Some 3rd gen Tacomas need a minor tweak to the front transmission line.
Does the winch have to come off with the bumper? No. The winch can be mounted to the truck separately from the bumper.
How is the prerunner different from the full bull bar?The prerunner uses one center hoop over the grille instead of a full triple-hoop bar, so it's a few pounds lighter and leaves the front end more open.
