The Hi-Lite Overland Front Bumper with Bull Bar replaces the factory front end on the 2024–2027 Toyota Tacoma with a high-clearance hybrid build from Backwoods Adventure Mods. A full bull bar wraps the grille and headlights, and trimmed-back corners leave room to climb ledges.

Instead of choosing between steel and aluminum, Backwoods Adventure Mods uses each where it works best: a 44 lb aluminum shell that won't rust sits on a 42 lb steel winch cradle, with recovery points bolted straight to the frame. The finished bumper weighs 86 lb, and since the factory bumper that comes off weighs about 40 lb, the net gain up front is roughly 45 lb. The cradle holds winches up to 12,000 lb, and the recovery points have soft edges that won't chew up soft shackles.

One person can handle the bolt-on install, and it keeps TSS and the parking sensors working. Factory fog lights don't transfer, and winches taller than 10.1 in need the solenoid moved. Powder coat and Grade 8 hardware are included, Backwoods Adventure Mods backs the structure with a lifetime warranty, and we ship it free within the contiguous U.S.

Questions we get

Will my winch fit? Most winches up to 12,000 lb drop right in. If yours is taller than 10.1 in (the WARN ZEON is 10.5 in), plan to relocate the solenoid or slightly modify the crossmember.
Does it work with Toyota Safety Sense?Yes. The Hi-Lite keeps the factory TSS sensor working, and on the 2024+ Tacoma it also keeps the parking sensors. 5th gen 4Runners with the forward-facing camera need BAM's TSS relocation bracket (not compatible with the prerunner).
Can I keep my factory fog lights? No, the factory fogs don't carry over. The wings have cutouts for most aftermarket pod lights instead.
How hard is the install? It's a bolt-on one person can handle, and BAM has an install video for each generation. Some 3rd gen Tacomas need a minor tweak to the front transmission line.
Does the winch have to come off with the bumper? No. The winch can be mounted to the truck separately from the bumper.
Do I need the frame support brackets? If you plan to winch, yes. Backwoods sells frame support brackets for the Tacoma and 4Runner bumpers and calls them a must for winching.
How is the bull bar different from the prerunner? The bull bar adds a full triple-hoop guard over the grille and headlights; the prerunner uses a single center hoop and leaves the front end more open.
