What does the ATS do?The inbuilt Automatic Transfer Switch moves your AC loads between battery power and shore power automatically, so there is no manual changeover when you plug in.
Which size do I need?REDARC lists the 1200W for charging laptops, drones, power tools and e-bikes and running a microwave. The 2000W adds an induction cooktop, toaster, coffee machine or hair dryer. The 3000W adds an air conditioner, or multiple lower-power devices in industrial or commercial settings.
Is it safe for sensitive electronics?Yes. The RS3 has pure sine wave output at 120VAC ±3%, which REDARC says ensures smooth, efficient operation for sensitive electronics.
Can I turn it on and off remotely?Yes. A remote switch terminal allows on/off control through a switch or relay. REDARC also sells the RS3 Inverter Remote (REMOTE-RS3-NA) separately.
Is it noisy?REDARC designed the RS3 for low noise operation, so it suits quiet campsites.
