The Backwoods Adventure Mods Overland Bed Rack gives a 2020–2027 Jeep Gladiator a mounting platform for a rooftop tent, bikes, boats or recovery gear, while the bed stays open for cargo. It mounts to the bed rail tracks, so the truck must have OEM or aftermarket bed rails before install.

The rack is all aluminum and weighs about 45 lb in black powder coat. C-channel top crossbars add side-to-side strength, and four modular side rails accept Backwoods Adventure Mods' storage box, bike trays, awning brackets and traction board mounts. The optional DRIFTR topper adds about 4 in of height and slotted crossbars for a wedge-style tent.

It goes together 100% bolt-on, and Backwoods Adventure Mods' install and accessories video walks through the build. The topper and accessories shown are sold separately. Backwoods Adventure Mods backs the structure with a lifetime warranty, and we ship it free within the contiguous U.S.

Questions we get

Will it fit my bed length? The Tacoma and Tundra racks are built for short beds. On a Tundra long bed the rack fits but won't span the full bed.

Does my 2nd gen Tundra need anything extra?Yes. 2007–2021 Tundras need the factory bed tracks installed first; 3rd gen trucks bolt up directly.

What does the Gladiator need?OEM or aftermarket bed rails must be installed before the rack goes on.

Will a rooftop tent clear the cab?The rack sits about level with the cab. For a long wedge tent, add the DRIFTR topper for roughly 4–5 in more height.

Can I mount storage boxes?Yes. BAM's aluminum box mounts one per side on Tacoma and Gladiator, and up to two per side on the Tundra full height rack.
