The Eezi-Awn Truck Shell K9 Load Bar Kit turns the roof of a truck shell or canopy into a mounting base for a rooftop tent or cargo. Each kit includes two K9 roof rails, four feet or legs and two load bars, and you set it up by choosing the bar length, the rail length and the height.

Bars come in 1250, 1400 or 1500 mm (49, 55 or 59 in), rails in 1.4, 1.6, 1.8, 2.0 or 2.2 m, and the height option is Standard (65 mm) or Low (40 mm). The bars are powder-coated aluminium extrusions with an 8 mm T-slot on top and underneath; a flat rear lip can be drilled to bolt down a tent, and the lower slot takes Eezi-Awn's DIY extrusion so an M8 bolt can be fixed anywhere along the bar.

Extra bars and feet are sold separately. How the rails attach depends on your shell's roof, so check your shell maker's load and mounting guidance first. Eezi-Awn warrants K9 roof racks, load bars and accessories for 3 years from date of manufacture when they are mounted on its own K9 mounting system.

K9 load bar questions

What comes in a K9 load bar kit?Two K9 load bars and four feet or legs. Each option is listed by mounting and bar length for your vehicle; extra bars and feet are sold separately.
Which bar length should I choose?Bars come in 1250, 1400 and 1500 mm (49, 55 and 59 in); not every kit offers all three. Match the length to your roof width and to the mounting points of the tent or carrier you plan to fit.
Can I mount a rooftop tent on K9 load bars?Yes. The bars have a lip along the rear edge for drilling and bolting down a soft- or hard-shell tent, and the top T-slot takes bolt-on hardware. Check your tent maker's crossbar requirements and your vehicle's roof limit.
Can the feet be moved along the bar?Yes. The lower slot captures an M8 bolt head, so feet or legs can be fixed anywhere along the bar.
What mounts do K9 load bars work with?K9 mounting rails and feet, gutter-mount legs and grab-on feet.
