The Eezi-Awn K9 Roof Rack Kit turns the roof of a 2003–2009 Lexus GX470 or 2010–2023 GX460 (Prado 120 and 150) into a flat, low aluminium platform, 1250 to 1500 mm wide and 1.4 to 2.2 m long. The 2.2 m runs nearly windshield to hatch; the 1.6 m starts behind the sunroof so it still opens.

The platform is extruded aluminium with fully welded joints in matte black powder coat, about 1⅜ in thick, and it sits roughly 5 in above the GX roof on 65 mm feet. The edge accepts Thule and Yakima tower feet on 6 mm hardware. Eezi-Awn reports test loads near 500 lb moving and 1,000 lb parked on upgraded suspension, not a warrantied rating.

Plan on about 1½ hours for one person, plus a helper to lift the platform. Once the factory rack is off, the K9 mounting rail sits over the pinch-weld trim on the OEM rack mounting points, with no drilling. Later GX460s with a flush factory rack need four Toyota pinch-weld trim pieces (75555-60020), which may need trimming. Written instructions are included.

Can I buy just the platform?Yes. The K9 Roof Rack Platform is sold on its own with no hardware, for use with K9 rails and feet, track-mount feet or G-Clamp feet.
What is the warranty?Eezi-Awn warrants K9 roof racks, load bars and accessories for 3 years from the date of manufacture, when mounted on its own K9 mounting system and installed to its instructions.
