Backwoods Adventure Mods made these steel Rock Sliders for the 2010–2024 Toyota 4Runner, protecting the rocker panels on the trail and giving you a step the rest of the time. They work on trucks with or without KDSS, and they fit Limited trims once the factory side skirt comes off.

The rails are bent from 1.75 in DOM steel tubing with gusseted corners and gusseted frame mounts, and Backwoods Adventure Mods says they'll hold the weight of the whole rig. A 0 degree angle keeps them tucked to the body for clearance, while the rear kickout pivots the back tire off rocks and trees and makes a wide step for loading the roof. Bolt-on aluminum top plates with a textured bedliner-style finish won't rust, and the steel is coated in black textured powder coat.

Install is 100% bolt-on with Grade 8 hardware, and Backwoods Adventure Mods' install video covers both KDSS and non-KDSS trucks. The structure has a lifetime warranty from Backwoods for the original buyer, and we ship it free within the contiguous U.S.

Do I have to weld anything?No. Every BAM slider kit is 100% bolt-on and comes with Grade 8 hardware.

Which Tacoma kit do I need?Short Bed fits Double Cab short bed and Access Cab long bed trucks. Long Bed fits Double Cab long bed trucks. Both cover 2WD and 4WD.

Do they work on hybrid trucks?The 2024+ Tacoma kits fit hybrid and non-hybrid trucks. The 2022–2025 Tundra has separate Hybrid and Non-Hybrid kits for CrewMax short bed trucks, and won't fit 2026+.

Will they fit a 4Runner with KDSS?Yes. The 5th gen 4Runner sliders work with or without KDSS. Limited trims need the factory side skirt removed.

Can I stand on them?Yes. The aluminum top plate is made to be stepped on and won't rust, and the rear kickout gives you a wide step to reach the roof.
