Founded in 2007 as an engineering and product development firm, Leitner Designs built its reputation creating innovative products across the automotive, action sports, and outdoor industries. In 2014, founder Bernhard Leitner shifted the company’s focus toward building premium truck bed rack systems designed for real-world adventure.

That philosophy became the foundation of the Active Cargo System (ACS) - one of the most rugged and modular truck bed rack systems in the overlanding industry. Designed for serious outdoor enthusiasts, ACS systems are tested in real-world environments ranging from Baja desert trails and mountain overland routes to surf trips, hunting camps, job sites, and everyday utility use.
